ABOUT US

Andrea Cennington, MSW, LCSW, LCSW-C, LICSW, QS

Founder & Clinically Licensed Trauma Survivor Expert

As a veteran and sought-after trauma and somatic expert, I leverage the power of education and community outreach to bridge gaps and address disparities. Through storytelling, training, mindfulness, humor, and transparency, I aim to show minds, hearts, and organizations that they can heal and make a positive impact on individuals, families, and communities.

My mission is to alchemize trauma, inspiring others to embrace their inner strength, rewrite narratives, break down barriers, heal ancestral trauma, and cultivate resilience together.

From my background as a certified special education teacher to a licensed mobile crisis counselor, my diverse experiences allow me to approach therapy from multiple paradigms. Combining clinical expertise with a heart-driven and data-based approach, I aim to cultivate a safe space for beings to be vulnerable. As a trusted trainer for PESI®, I am also a licensed therapist, neurodiverse parent, prior Special Education Teacher, and an advocate for mental well-being. In addition, I am a DOT- Qualified Substance Abuse Professional.

I’m here to show the world that a woman can be light and dark, gentle and fierce, strong and soft, warrior and healer. And that balance doesn’t make her bad, it makes her powerful AF.

“I am a Journey Clinical KAP Provider I offer a therapeutic modality called Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), the use of ketamine as a complement to psychotherapy. I deliver KAP in my practice in partnership with an organization called Journey Clinical, which has a specialized medical team that determines eligibility for KAP, prescribes the ketamine, & supports us in monitoring outcomes. If you would like to explore the possibility of working with me on KAP, please e-mail me at administration@theebohotherapist.com to discuss eligibility and next steps.” In addition, I am a DOT- Qualified Substance Abuse Professional.

Andrea is a trauma-informed therapist, author, and veteran who helps individuals heal from trauma and navigate life’s challenges through holistic, culturally responsive care.
